Classical Pilates is the original Pilates method developed by Joseph Pilates himself. It follows a considered sequence of exercises and principles designed to build strength, control, flexibility and body awareness.

Pilates is a method built around controlled, intentional movement, with a strong emphasis on alignment, breath, core strength, precision and body awareness. Rather than simply moving through exercises, we focus on how you move - developing control and understanding of your body over time.
Yoga, Pilates and sculpt can all compliment one another, but they each have their own purpose and approach. It is not about one being better than the other - it’s about finding the kind of movement that feels right for you.
-
The Movement Parlour is a community built around classical mat Pilates for real people and real bodies. Classical is at the heart of what I teach, but I believe it should feel accessible, welcoming and fun - never intimidating or exclusive.

Wear something that makes you feel comfortable, confident and able to move freely.

TMP is only just beginning, and there are lots of dreams tucked away for the future.

As TMP grows I would love to introduce beautiful merchandise, special events, and more classes - so watch this space.
